A series of training courses for employees of the Chancellery of the Polish Sejm
A series of training courses organised by GIODO for employees of the Chancellery of the Polish Sejm (lower chamber of the Polish Parliament) ended. Around 360 persons participated in those training courses.
The directions of changes in the personal data protection system, as well as current problems concerning the processing of personal data in public institutions were the main topics of the training courses conducted by representatives of the Inspector General for Personal Data Protection (GIODO) at the Chancellery of the Polish Sejm. Altogether, 8 training courses were held, in which participated almost 360 employees of that institution. The lectures were supplemented with replies to participants’ questions, so as to best meet their information needs, especially now, at the time of changes in personal data protection law.
Raising awareness of the entities obliged to adaptation to new regulations is currently a priority in GIODO’s educational activity, which is addressed mainly to public institutions and administrators of information security (future Data Protection Officers - DPOs). In March 2017, two one-day long training courses were organised, dedicated to DPOs from the medical sector, which were attended by almost 400 persons. The first initiative of this type was held on 28 June 2016 and was addressed to persons currently fulfilling such function in public administration. Subsequent meeting of this kind was organised on 24 November 2016 and was addressed to DPOs appointed by universities.
