The publication “Privacy protection in the workplace. Guide for employees” was developed by Polish, Czech, Bulgarian and Croatian DPAs within the framework of the Leonardo da Vinci Partnership Project “Raising awareness of the data protection issues among the employees working in the EU” funded with support from the European Commission under the Lifelong Learning Programme. The guide is targeted to natural persons commencing work or being employed in one of the countries participating in the project. Within the project experts representing four data protection authorities: Bureau of the Inspector General for Personal Data Protection from Poland, Office for Personal Data Protection from the Czech Republic, Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency and Commission for Personal Data Protection from the Republic of Bulgaria analysed current problems related to employment and presented selected recommendations on privacy and data protection.
The official presentation of the guide took place during the Workshop summarising the Partnership Project “Raising awareness of the data protection issues among the employees working in the EU” organised by the Inspector General for Personal Data Protection on 25 June 2014 in Gdańsk.
